A film that has aged like fine wine. There’s hardly anything to criticize—it’s practically perfect. The only flaw is the close-up on the wound on Megumi’s knee; they could have just put a bandage on it right from the start. At least they addressed it toward the end. And what can I say about Niina? She’s unrecognizable—I actually prefer her in this film, as she has gained a significant amount of weight in her more recent work.
