You occasionally come upon a movie so rare it opens your eyes, wakes you up or maybe just captivates you. So out of the norm, or far from mainstream yet somehow it finds its audience and winds up being a cult favorite. Like a David Lynch movie or an Indie film:
‘Man Bites Dog’ … ‘Killer Joe’ … and ‘Dr. Strangelove,’ to name 3 perfect examples.
Came out of nowhere. Took the world by storm! And all 3 are possibly the darkest satires ever made. I mean … Rape … Murder … Nuclear War. Nobody knew what they were seeing. Nobody realized you were supposed to laugh!
Well, this pleasant little surprise is the ”Amelie’ of Porn.
