I remember him from that seminal work URE-055. He played one of the better/respectable hubby roles in that.
I am impressed by his acting abilities, comparable to Yoichi Matsumoto or, as mentioned by you, Itagaki.
Although I dislike how they tend do demean/diminish this by dumbing down his skills to make the hubby character less appealing.
In my opinion this is simply not necessary and detracts from me believing the storyline.

Not bad. Glad she gave up the victim act after the second half. Wasn’t sustainable anyway while getting plowed by both Goro and Fumitaka-san along with 3 other lower caliber penises.
