Still, the moment at 1:10:10 when Melody nods sympathetically at the distraught husband that conveys spousal support despite the abuse being meted out to her.

Re: the actor, I would consider the possibility that his “bad acting” is elicited by the movie makers who (rightly or wrongly) feel that a pathetic husband (enhanced by bad acting) is pivotal to the impact of the film. The other possibility is that playing this part in feature after feature is bound to have a deep psychological impact on the actor and there aren’t many applicants for the role. Most would (understandably) wish to play the role of the usurper(s) regardless of their abilities. So they go with the one captive guy who is typecast. I would prefer to see some rotation. I have seen the thespians Ozawa and Somejima play the cuckolded husbands in other features. We get to see the other side of their personalities.

Having taken an interest in her now, I googled, looking for any videos about whether she speaks any Japanese.

Started watching an interview in which she was asked about male JAV actors. She mentioned a favorite who had to watch her have sex with other people for the whole movie.

At the risk of repeating myself, I would venture that it is a possibility (only a possibility since I was not on the set and cannot report on what occurred there) that he was asked to do just that. Moreover, what you ask for – be undressed, show penis etc. – needs to be in the script, no? No actor can unilaterally peel off, just to show acting chops, right? So, maybe this actor is being valued harshly by you and admin. I feel like beaming some kindness on the man. Movie after movie of being cuckolded by various wives must result in a heavy emotional toll. Sympathy, please. Unlike films which are sympathetic to the husband where the extra marital affair happens because of other reasons (like sexual attraction etc.), JAV thrives on the hurt that the husband undergoes. Well said and I totally agree. the husband in this situations is not in a position to get involved with the sex and that’s kind of the whole point I think. Also yes he pops up in a lot of these I think but i can’t remember him ever having a sex scene? there are few other actors like this who i never see have a sex scene, he trades spots with another guy in the nsfs/jur wife takes a modeling job and husbands boss/coworker involves himself. Didn’t expect a Melody Hiina Marks movie to be any good. But this one was cursed with a sizable part played by the worst actor in the world. He crawled. He cringed. He whimpered. He made faces. He walked cluelessly, spilling his coffee on one of the AV actors. Melody Hiina Marks isn’t ugly. She might have been able to turn this into a good movie. (In some way I can’t think of) But – whatever she did, the worst actor ever seen was in the background. Or the foreground. Making one suspend too much disbelief to pretend she would ever have care for someone like him, live with him, love him. Add to that the language thing. I’m not sure she can have a conversation in Japanese. I’m not sure he can have a conversation in English. I didn’t see them ever exchange any conversation in the entire movie, or hear her enunciate any Japanese words in the entire movie. It’s just so stunning to contrast the good AVs that come out of the studios in Japan, with the horrible ones. This is a nadir among nadirs. Would think a worse movie would be inconceivable.
