It amazes me that the necessarily somewhat mature and sane people (? Admin and mods?) who run the site have opted to post troll comment after troll comment.

When I discovered the site, things were different.

If one looks for ad hominem trolling (like your troll post) in 2019, 2020, 2021 comments, there aren’t man to find.

But these days, the site has become a troll’s best friend. That can’t be doubted. And I’ve seen little to no explanation as to why. . .

As to why the site (regrettably) posts troll comments (like yours) these days, did see a post that began:

“First, don’t fall for dumb ragebait.

2nd, There’s moderation and ip bans, (so far we deleted over 100K+ comments), but we don’t edulcorate reality.

Because some of the stuff you think is hateful? Probably, but that’s just raw, unfiltered humanity at its worst. Grim but real. . .”

But – why the change? Before 2022, the comments were so VERY much better. (More free of trolling)

Was “humanity at it’s worst” (like you) simply not taking aim at the site’s comment section back then?

Or did the site previously “edulcorate reality” – but then grow tired of protecting us from troll comments, and decide to become a forum presenting ‘unfiltered humanity at its worst” on a daily basis?
