Well, troll. Looks like you typed out a name-stealing reply to an initial “name-stealing” troll comment. Odd thing you do daily. Odd too how the Admin and mods enable trolling these days.

I felt a hint of promise last year when the site put a “filter” on using the name “Mike” that converted it to “Not Mike” when someone else posted with my name.

Wasn’t my idea, and I thought it would create problems, but it showed some sympathy to the “plight” of people who want to comment seriously and regularly here, like in 2019, 2020, 2021.

And for a while, when a troll post got by the filter, the site would respond to my requests to delete the troll spoofs/impersonations.”

But the site stopped doing that, first stopping deleting the “close” spoofs, like the M1ke or Mlke or M!ke, then even stopped deleting the comments that clearly read “Mike.”

Seems the site fought the trolling and the trolling won.

(Wonder what Sonny Curtis, Bobby Fuller, and others who sang “I Fought the Law” (The Clash?) might think of that. . .)
