Why not Meru with an M?

Wondered why the name “Meru” is spelled Airu in the title translation.

Not just by this site.

JAVTrailers did the same when it posted the trailer of this movie.

And did similar things continuously. If one reviews the 佐藤愛瑠 Sato Meru movies in JAVTrailers, one sees a LOT of Sato Airu use in her titles.

That’s despite JAVTrailers having her name correctly spelled Sato Meru in its actress hyperlink

So why not an M?

If one puts 佐藤愛瑠 into Google Translate, one gets Aeru Sato. Aeru, not Airu

But if one puts 愛瑠 in, one gets Airu

Either way, one does not get Meru. (But under the original, one sees Meru on the Japanese side of the display.)

So – why? – when one Google search result says that Meru is the most common Romanization / reading of 愛瑠

Yet another says that 愛瑠 has multiple readings ( Airu, Chikaru, Manaru, Aru, Meruru, Meru, Mederu, Meguru . . .) adding it depends on how it is read.

Thought about driving an Aitsubishi in the month of Aarch in New Aexico. Those A-words being name readings of choice.

See the mispelling of her name was removed. Glad to see that (Now it lives on only in the internet address for the post)

The mystery of how name spelling gets handled in this age of Artificial Intelligence – AI, whoops –

Super Intelligence. SI (Sports Illustrated, think of a new name. SI doesn’t mean you anymore)

Well – That’s some mystery.

So the site has her name spelled nicely in its Actress Hyperlink, for lovely, beautiful radiant, unforgettably photogenic 佐藤愛瑠 Sato Meru.

When Romanized, spelled Meru.

Like on the cover of the image video released about the time she discarded 中森心 Nakamori Kokona and became 佐藤愛瑠 Sato Meru

/?s=REBD-971

Meru with an M. M like in misspelling, mistake, misprint, malfunction, misconfiguration, muck-up, misprogramming, mechanization mightmare, modern mishap, mechnological mess.

But JAVTrailers called her Airu.

Back in the dark ages of word processors and spell checking, one could enter a proper name into the spell checker, and then the stone age technology of the 1980s would evaluate the proper name and pass it as spelled correctly, once it was entered into that spell checking technology pass, entered into that spell checking technology

What changed all that in our age of Super-Inelligent automation, that we get Airu and Aeru instead of Meru for her? With no sign of human proof-reading?
